Grow your coaching business using Pinterest
Are you a business coach? Have you thought to grow your coaching business using Pinterest? This seems to be an afterthought for many business coaches and I know why. It’s not going to have an immediate impact on your lead generation but over the longterm you could build an audience that knows you and trusts the crap out of you.
Attraction marketing isn’t the only way to find clients for your coaching business and I want to talk to you about how you can start marketing in your sleep.
To get started with Pinterest you need to first build a solid foundation. Once you have your foundation in place you can start to repurpose your content onto the platform.
If you need help setting up that foundation read How To Start A Pinterest Account (the right way).
In essence you need to brainstorm your ideal clients pain points and what they are searching for then create your boards around that.
You will want to do your keyword research before you create your boards so you know that what you create is optimized for search.
In the video I gave this example for a life coach using Pinterest.
This is for a marriage focused life coach and potentially 3 buckets of content and boards they can create.
Life Coach
Marriage
Dating Tips for Married Couples
Married Sex
Marriage Advice
Goal Setting
Setting Financial Goals as a Couple
Goal Setting for Couples
How to Plan for Your Future
These are potential boards that a coach in this industry could create depending on what their audience needs. You can see each of the board examples is a long-tail keyword not just a single word or two.
To get leads from Pinterest you need to create valuable content that solves a problem for your audience. In most cases your clients are going to need you long before they realize it and they are searching for things on Pinterest like “how to set financial goals”.
You create content or repurpose your long form content from social media onto your blog. You can even film videos and just write a shorter blog post to accompany the video and share that.
Driving traffic to your value based content will help your audience to see how they can fit into your transformation. By bringing value, answering objections and showing your audience how they fit into your products and services you can quickly convert cold traffic into hot leads.
Create content that your audience is searching for and give it to them.
Once you have your value based content in place you should create a free opt-in or a low priced product that will help your audience take the next step.
These products can answer the questions your audience will need to invest in you further. Once you have a buyer once they will be easier to convince to buy from you again.
Low ticket funnels leading to high ticket offers are a great way to convert your audience into clients.
Giving Pinterest what they want is important but giving your readers what they want is vital. Create content consistently whether you’re creating fresh pins or creating brand new content each week.
Set aside time to batch your content and schedule your pins so you can consistently show up on Pinterest.

If you want to grow your coaching business using Pinterest then you have some work ahead of you but it’s worth the effort. Most of the time it’s simply repurposing the content you already have and spending some time creating images, writing descriptions and scheduling your content.
Get more leads in your coaching business without constantly posting on social media! I promise it can be done.
Heather Farris went to school for accounting and worked for years in banking and finance. After finding all of that entirely too boring she started her first blog in her basement in August of 2016. She has started 3 blogs in the marketing, motherhood and travel niches and used Pinterest to grow them all. She quickly became the go-to Pinterest strategist in her peer circles and has been implementing strategies, driving traffic and sales through organic and paid tactics for her clients. On this blog and her YouTube channel, as a renowned Pinterest marketing expert, she educates the public about clear and transparent marketing strategies to help them to grow on Pinterest and in other places online.
