About Heather Farris >
To claim your Shopify website on Pinterest you need to install a little bit of code on your website header. To do this you need to locate your code injection panel.
If you’re like me you’ve already referenced the SquareSpace article and found it’s out of date. We are remedying that now.
Follow the steps below to get this task done in 5 minutes or less.
Start with logging into your SquareSpace website and opening your settings menu.
Click the search bar icon and search “website tools”.
Once you open that tab you’re going to click on “code injection” next.
Now open a Pinterest window and login to your account. Navigate to settings > claimed accounts.
Click the claim button shown and it will open the next window and copy the HTML code shown below.
Open your SquareSpace website again and paste that code into the header of your code injection settings then click save.
Head back to Pinterest and click next
Your box will say 1 of 2 things… Verification in Progress or Verified. It shouldn’t take very long for this to be done.
Your profile will show a little world and a checkmark if your site is successfully claimed. It will also be listed in the claimed domains list in your settings.

Heather went to school for accounting and worked for years in banking and finance. After finding all of that entirely too boring she started her first blog in her basement in August of 2016. She has started 3 blogs in the marketing, motherhood and travel niches and used Pinterest to grow them all. She quickly became the go-to Pinterest strategist in her peer circles and has been implementing strategies, driving traffic and sales through organic and paid tactics for her clients. On this blog and her YouTube channel she educates the public about clear and transparent marketing strategies to help them to grow on Pinterest and in other places online.
