Make it a little faster, make it a little more strategic, and waste a little less time by using this feature. Today we’ll go through how to use Canva Bulk Create and couple it with the power of AI with ChatGPT.
So you know, this is a Canva Pro feature. If you want to try out the 30-day free trial, you can. But I am warning you upfront, it’s a paid plan. You have to have a paid plan.
There are a couple of things that you’ll want to know.
#1. You cannot use grids; you have to use frames. I will explain this more in the tutorial section.
#2. Ensure the pin design and layout you want to use is fully set up before you begin importing your data. Otherwise, you are going to have to start all over with importing your data.
Learn from my mistakes for the love of all things holy.
Now that you know those two crucial things, I will show you how to use Canva Bulk Create with the help of ChatGPT in just a few minutes.

If you don’t already have access to my free ChatGPT prompts for Pinterest, get access to them right here. We’ll be using them for this.
This is the template we’ll use for researching and creating your pin titles. The only thing you want to change with the template is what’s in caps, your topic and keywords you want included.
So ‘Pinterest ads for Etsy sellers’ is our topic today for this tutorial. And I already have a list of keywords that I want to use. Make sure you already have your keyword research done in advance to have to paste in.
I have also included a couple of additional mark-downs or instructions for it that I don’t want it to do, like no emojis and no quotation marks. That was not in the ChatGPT video I created, so you’re not confused.
Now copy and paste your template into ChatGPT and then hit ‘Enter’. It’s going to generate a list for you. Once we have a list, we can begin to insert this into Canva.

There are two ways that you can do this, getting your text in bulk into Canva.
Before we get started, you need to know how we’re actually going to have Canva insert images for us. I mentioned earlier that you need to use a frame instead of a grid.
In ‘Elements’, there is a section called ‘Frames’, and a section called ‘Grids’. Grids will not work, unfortunately, even though they do the same thing with most rectangular photos. So you need to go to ‘Frames’ and choose the frame you want.
So, if you use a template from someone else’s store, like from my store, you just need to ensure it is a frame. This is important with how to use Canva Bulk Create or you’ll just end up wasting time fixing things.

If you want traffic don’t rely on something just whipped up! Speed up your pin creation by using templates to get more pins out faster and more often.
These Pinterest templates are great for video content or blog posts & are ready to go. You can start creating pins on Pinterest in minutes.
Okay, now to the hands-on how to use Canva Bulk Create. Upload your template base you’re going to use. Now, go to ‘Apps’, and you want to look for ‘Bulk Create’. You may need to search for it, but the more often you use it, it will pop up at the top automatically.
Click ‘Bulk Create’, and the two options that you have are:
I don’t often use the CSV option because I just cut and paste the titles that ChatGPT gives me. I also pre-upload my images into a folder in Canva to select them easier. But I’ll show you multiple options for how to insert the images.
I have talked about this in many of my Canva videos in the past. One of the quickest ways to stay streamlined is to organize everything in Canva, especially if you have your own brand images you reuse.
Once we are finished with inserting all of our images and we have our pin titles, you are going to click the ‘Done’ button.

Now, we need to connect the data to the design. So, the first thing we will do is connect our pin title. Right-click on the text box where you will put your pin title, click ‘Connect Data’, and choose ‘Pin Title’.
For the image, same thing, you are going to right-click the frame where you want it to go, and then click ‘Image’.
Then, click on the bottom left-hand corner, the ‘Continue’ button. It will now display all of the pin titles from your data and let you select which ones you want it to create with. You’ll likely want all of them, because you entered them originally, so click the ‘Generate designs’ button.
It will generate a new pin for all of your data entered. Now, you just need to go through and slightly edit them, tweaking the appearance. Even if you know how to use Canva Bulk Create, it’s not flawless, so you still need to comb over everything and adjust anything that looks funny.

If you don’t have specific images uploaded to Canva, but want to still use their image library, or still upload from somewhere else, just don’t enter the ‘Add image’ column while entering your data.
Just do the pin titles data like before, then, the data for the pin title is still kept connected. After the pins are generated, you can still go in and insert whatever images you want. But it will be manually one by one.

Once you are done editing everything and it looks right, you can download them all and schedule them via Pinterest, Tailwind, or another scheduler.
If you want to schedule pins inside of Canva, you cannot bulk-create all images in one file and schedule them all at once from there. Instead, do this:
So, there are so many different options. But right out of the gate, this can help you create Pinterest pins using one single design idea inside your Template Library with Canva.

If I were you, I would do a smaller subset, say a set of four pins with one template design and then another set of four with another design. And then a third set of four with a third design.
Then mix and match them up for when you publish them. So when your pins publish out to Pinterest, it is not the same design going out every single day. Then, you can mix and match all the different designs.
